Another Los Angeles County District Attorney Candidate Forum for the LA District Attorney race was hosted by the Jewish Federation’s Community Engagement Initiative. This forum featured incumbent District Attorney George Gascón and challenger Nathan Hochman. During the forum, moderated by Emmy-Award-winning Spectrum News journalist Alex Cohen, candidates discussed their visions for public safety in L.A., including for the Jewish community.
This was a Zoom presentation that did not allow the viewers to ask any questions just like the previous forums. Before this event, the Justice Channel was notified about it and asked for questions for the candidates. They did not ask the candidates any questions from The Justice Channel. This was like the Crime Victims District Attorney forum on FEBRUARY 29, 2024. Recently on the Larry Elder radio show (870 AM The Answeer) the former District Attorney of Los Angeles County Steve Cooley, said that he pulled his endorsement of Nathan Hochman because he has endorsed Kamala Harris for President. Steve Cooley commented that Nathan Hockman was way ahead in the polls and did not need to endorse any Presidential candidate.
There is a lot of hope for Nathan Hockman because Los Angeles County has been devastated by the corrupt policies of George Gascón. Donald Trump came to Los Angeles County last Friday and held a press conference at his Golf club in Rancho Palos Verdes. He blasted George Gascon and Kamala Harris for making Los Angeles a “Hell Hole” of a city. After this, there is not much hope that the corruption in the Los Angeles DA’s office will end if Hockman is elected.
Los Angeles elections and politics are very corrupt! Just like the federal government. American citizens need to organize and demand election reforms. All American citizens need to boycott these elections until we get a better selection of candidates and a corruption-free voting system!
